“The power section is increasingly being mounted on the printed circuit board with discrete components,” according to the firm. “However, due to the high integration density required to achieve a compact design, thermal problems can arise due to the high currents on the PCB. EMC interference can affect adjacent modules due to the lack of spatial separation.” – going on to advocate a compact filter on the PCB with discrete components, including current-compensated choke with an open core to dissipate heat, plus capacitors.
DKIH-4 parts are designed according IEC 60938 and rated 500Vac or 760Vac, and designed for operation across -40°C to +100°C.
All are 31mm high and either 53 or 58mm in diameter.
There are standard versions, and customer-specific pin configurations and variants can be created on request.
Applications are expected in frequency converters, charging stations and un-interruptable power supplies.
